I think the first job was a pillow cover for a window seat and a matching valance above. You carefully worked with an awkward shape, making a perfectly fitting slip cover, with binding. Then there was a set of dining chair cushions for our island home, which you made from a paper pattern, creating a smart curved shape. A slip cover for an awkwardly formed hassock was the next project. You not only gave the hassock a neatly shaped cover, but it had a clever button design adding to the attractiveness of the cumbersome piece.
We have enjoyed your company as we planned the work together and exchanged stories about the West Africa, your original home, and an area where my husband has some fond memories. No doubt we will call upon your excellent services again, when we need the help of your creative and careful expertise. I will not hesitate to recommend you to my friends.
